Madrid works well for central Spain and routes that mix city locations with historic towns, estates or drier inland landscapes. Barcelona combines a distinctive urban base with Mediterranean coast and access towards Catalonia. Valencia, Andalusia, the Balearic and Canary Islands, the Basque Country and Galicia each bring different looks, travel patterns and local approval routes.
